Welcome to our Positive Hair Day Project

PHD (Positive Hair Day) is a project that aims to build positive racial and cultural identities for Black and mixed heritage individuals and their families living in the Brighton, Hove and Sussex area.

Positive Hair Day is a collaboration between Plenty Productions CIC and Shae Shae Creations Afro & European Hair and Beauty Salon.

PHD Coffee Table Book

Would you like to be in our Coffee Table Book?

We are looking for Black and mixed-heritage HAIR MODELS.

All ages and sizes welcome!

Our aim is to show the huge range of style and beauty amongst Black and mixed-heritage people living in Brighton and Hove today.

Our book will be distributed free to local community groups, centres and schools.

We are making this book because we want Black and mixed-heritage people to be proud of who they are, and most importantly, proud of their hair!
